Our Project Manager, Jim Schultz’s Overview:

Jim brings over 20 years experience in the construction trades. He attended Henry Ford Community College and also has over 6 years on the engineering side of the house as a draftsman and doing CADD operations for both Architectural and Mechanical disciplines. He started in General Contracting on the residential building side of the business where he obtained his Journeyman’s card in the early 1990’s. After which he moved up to multi-dwellings and commercial buildings graduating from Foreman, to Field Manager, to Superintendant, and finally to Project Manager for projects valued  up to $15 million on an annual basis. Jim obtained his Builders License in 1994. He managed Projects over 50,000 sqft. He was responsible-in-charge of major design changes including the internal scheduling responsibilities.

Jim worked his way into the highly disciplined Hospital renovation market for a period of 8 years while working for several major General Contractors in Michigan. Here he also broadened his experience in Project Estimating, Proposal Development, and Budgeting with Cost Breakouts for customer Appraisals and Approvals.  KSA-Krantz Systems and Associates, LLC hired Jim in 2007 to head-up their General Contracting Division. It didn’t take long for KSA’s President, Neal W. Krantz Sr. to recognize Jim’s valuable skills and decide to resurrect the VCS name that he was President of for over 3 years since 2004 and rename it Veterans Construction Services, Inc. This company is a Certified Federal Government General Contracting Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that is also Certified by the SBA (Small Business Administration).
